to the girl who dreamt
the yesterdays found us trapped
in a trance of memories,
you were too close to comfort,
and i, i was always too far gone.

your silver headbands and glittery eye shadows
seem light years away,
and my smile – my oh-so-radiant smile,
seems to have never existed at all.
